OBVERSE: “ESPOSIZIONE MONDAILE” (“universal exposure”), “A CENTURY OF PROGRESS,” and “CHICAGO MCMXXXIII” (1933) encircle the medal with two nude men holding aloft a torch, overlooking the Chicago skyline.

REVERSE: “ITALIA A.XI,” the Italian exhibition hall at the Chicago World’s Fair, surrounded by numerous flying airplanes. Signatures of designers “JOHNSON” at two o’clock and “SILMA” at six o’clock.
