HISTORY: Spider-Woman is a fictional character created by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in the publication, Marvel Spotlight #32, issued in February 1977 (Stan Lee, publisher). The origin and character were created by Archie Goodwin and visual appearance designed by Marie Severin. The stories were written by Marv Wolfman.

Spider-Woman’s character evolved over the decades that followed, eventually emerging into the visual arts of movies, television, and video games. She remains a formidable heroine to this day.

OBVERSE: Portrait of action figure Spider-Woman shown, with the words “UNIVERSAL STUDIOS MARVEL” below. “TM & © 2011 MARVEL & SUBS” in small letters along the lower right. From 9:00 to 12:00 o’clock, the squashed words “IN GOD WE TRUST” are still visible from the original penny obverse.
