HISTORY: Československá akademie zemědělská, the Czechoslovakia Academy of Sciences, was established in 1953.

OBVERSE: “ZA·ZASLUHY·O·ROZVOJ” and “VEDY·A·VYZKUMU” encircle this medal, framing nude Bounty who is holding an apple in her right hand while cradling a small sheaf of wheat in her left arm. A young plant grows on the ground to her left. To her right is a suspended microscope, representing agricultural research.

REVERSE: What appears to be an Iris arenaria flower adorns the upper half of this medal with “ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ AKADEMIE ZEMĚDĚLSKÁ” below. Bottom center is a four-petal flower, most likely a Cardamine pratensis, common to Eastern Europe.
